TEAM
Creating high-quality automated driving systems or advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) is both challenging and urgent. To achieve this, it is crucial to meticulously design software architecture, development processes, environments, and testing methodologies.
Our team has two main objectives:
・Establishing and improving software development standards to ensure engineers’ compliance with automotive industry standards.
・Ensuring that development activities across teams are conducted properly, resulting in high-quality deliverables.
We believe that active engagement and effective communication, combined with expertise in international standards, process models, software technologies, and development management, are essential to drive these initiatives forward.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking exceptional engineers to design and implement governance systems that ensure the quality of our products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with diverse teams including system design, architecture, development, testing, project management, and other stakeholders across our group companies.
We value individuals who can work flexibly across teams to derive effective solutions, using their experience in embedded software development, dev. environment design and development process improvement. Building strong relationships with stakeholders is essential for success in this position.
You will report to the Team Lead of Global Process Engineering. This is a hybrid role, requiring at least three days per week in the office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the architecture development of the integrated governance platform
Build the software development environment and toolchain
Identify issues from a broad perspective, extract fundamental issues, and create resolution plans
Visualize using graphical tools and drive data-based process improvement
Identify processes that need improvement through communication with engineers, and build consensus on improvement proposals
Build collaborative relationships with customers and suppliers to establish a cooperative integrated governance platform
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience improving the system/software engineering process
5 years of experience in the development of automotive software, or software tooling, for mass production vehicles in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 company
Experience developing engineering manuals/templates
Experience conducting system/software requirement analysis, static code analysis,
Experience in building the process supporting tool across the toolchain and establishing it efficiently
Experience of web application development including both frontend and backend. (e.g. typescript, python)
Experience of infrastructure management.(e.g. AWS)
Experience of application development using GenAI
Experience of integration of in house developed applications and 3rd party solutions
Experience designing automated development workflows and deployments using CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
NICE TO HAVES
Knowledge of ISO standards related to quality and safety ( e.g., IATF 16949, ISO26262, PAS8800)
Basic knowledge of prompt engineering for Generative AI
Work experience related to software tool chain by using Python, Java, or SQL
Work experience related to software quality metrics (e.g., Cyclomatic complexity)
Experience in code analysis tools like Understand, Lattix, and Polyspace
Experience in Requirement management tools like DOORS, Jama, and Reqtify
Experience designing applications on Kubernetes
Experience designing applications using Docker containers
Experience in MBSE tools like CATIA Magic
Experience leading project management like PMO
Skills in team management of Agile/scrum development by using Jira/Confluence
Experience in software process improvement according to Automotive-SPICE
