Job Description:

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

We’re seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support secure, high‑performance network solutions that keep our mission moving. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, improving infrastructure capabilities, and working with advanced networking technologies, this role is for you.

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable LAN/WAN network architectures

  • Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure reliability and uptime

  • Plan and execute network upgrades, enhancements, and capacity improvements

  • Implement and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure remote access

  • Maintain network integrity, documentation, backup/recovery capabilities, and compliance with regulations

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements based on industry best practices

  • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity efforts

  • Provide technical guidance to junior network personnel

  • Coordinate acquisition of hardware/software and vendor engagements as needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Administrator must have:
 

• Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, 1+ years of experience

• 2+ years of network engineering experience

• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI
• Current IAT Level II certification
• Current networking certification (Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP, Brocade, or Aruba)
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, or Aruba technologies
• Strong understanding of network design, security, and troubleshooting

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
