This role is a senior technical leadership position responsible for shaping and governing enterprise-scale data and analytics architecture across modern cloud platforms. You will design, implement, and secure scalable analytics infrastructure leveraging Azure technologies, enabling advanced data engineering, AI capabilities, and enterprise reporting solutions. The position plays a critical role in defining the future-state architecture, ensuring platforms are resilient, high-performing, and aligned with security and governance standards. You will act as a technical authority and escalation point for complex infrastructure and analytics challenges across the organization. Working closely with engineering, security, and data teams, you will enable best practices in DevOps and data lifecycle management. This role is ideal for an experienced architect who thrives in complex environments and enjoys driving innovation in cloud analytics and AI enablement.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, architect, and secure enterprise-grade analytics platforms using Azure services, including Databricks, Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Define and govern modern data architecture standards, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and compliance across analytics environments.
  • Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines, integrations, and automation workflows using Azure Data Factory and related tools.
  • Serve as a technical authority for AI and advanced analytics enablement, including the design of Databricks-based AI capabilities and proofs of concept.
  • Drive DevOps and DevSecOps integration across analytics infrastructure using Azure DevOps for deployment automation and lifecycle management.
  • Act as senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, data, and platform incidents requiring deep architectural expertise.
  • Define future-state architecture roadmaps and modernization strategies for enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Enable data engineers and administrators through architectural guidance, tooling, and automation best practices.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
    • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, data architecture, or platform engineering roles.
    • 8+ years of experience in IT security engineering or architecture within enterprise environments.
    • 5+ years of experience working with SQL and Python in data or analytics contexts.
    • Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, particularly Databricks, Data Factory, and related analytics platforms.
    • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures and governance frameworks.
    • Strong understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps principles and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps.
    • Proven ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable architecture solutions.
    • Experience leading technical strategy, mentoring engineers, and influencing cross-functional teams.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve highly complex, cross-platform issues.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Master’s degree is a plus.
