KBR is looking for talented individuals to join our PMC team to work on an exciting Offshore project as an Engineering Manager for a PMC project to be based in Abu Dhabi – UAE.
Job Purpose
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and managing all engineering activities during the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase of offshore projects. The role ensures technical excellence, alignment with client requirements, cost-effective design, and readiness for EPC execution, while maintaining strict adherence to offshore standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team (Process, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Pipeline, Marine, Naval, etc.)
- Coordinate engineering activities to ensure consistency and integration across all disciplines
- Establish engineering execution strategy, procedures, and deliverables plan for the FEED phase
FEED Deliverables Management
- Oversee preparation and review of critical FEED deliverables, including:
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs
- Offshore platform layouts (fixed/jacket, FPSO, topsides, subsea systems)
- Equipment datasheets and specifications
- Structural and marine studies
- Weight control reports and plot plans
- Ensure deliverables meet client specifications, industry codes, and classification society requirements (e.g., ABS, DNV, API, ISO)
Technical Governance
- Maintain overall technical integrity of the project design
- Ensure compliance with offshore standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements
- Lead technical reviews, design verification, and assurance processes
- Support and participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessments
Project Planning & Control
- Develop and manage engineering schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Monitor progress against milestones and take corrective actions when required
- Support cost estimation and project execution strategy development (CAPEX/OPEX considerations)
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and uncertainties
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as primary technical interface with client, licensors, classification bodies, and third parties
- Present engineering concepts, design solutions, and progress updates to stakeholders
- Manage design changes and ensure alignment with commercial and contractual requirements
Interface & Integration Management
- Ensure effective coordination between offshore facilities, subsea systems, pipelines, and onshore interfaces
- Manage interfaces between FEED packages and ensure seamless transition to EPC phase
- Coordinate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams during early planning
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all engineering activities adhere to company QHSE standards
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safety-in-design principles are applied
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities and environmental standards
Key Skills & Competencies

- Deep knowledge of FEED methodologies and offshore project lifecycle
