Technical Engineering Manager - Salesforce

This role is a high-impact leadership position responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of large-scale Salesforce solutions across CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Cloud. You will lead distributed engineering teams and ensure the successful execution of complex, business-critical Salesforce programs. The role blends hands-on Salesforce technical expertise with strong people and delivery management responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Product, and Operations to build scalable and efficient revenue systems. A key part of the role involves shaping engineering strategy, improving platform performance, and driving process excellence across Salesforce delivery teams. You will also mentor engineering talent, strengthen delivery governance, and influence long-term architectural decisions. This is a strategic role with direct impact on enterprise revenue operations and digital transformation.
Accountabilities:
Lead and scale distributed Salesforce engineering teams while driving the successful delivery of enterprise-grade CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Cloud solutions.
- Define and execute long-term Salesforce engineering strategies aligned with business and revenue goals.
- Manage multiple Salesforce teams, including direct reports and cross-functional engineering squads.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of Salesforce CPQ and Billing implementations across complex business environments.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product, and UX teams to design scalable quoting, billing, and revenue recognition processes.
- Establish and track Salesforce engineering KPIs, OKRs, and delivery performance metrics.
- Improve platform performance, scalability, security, and release management processes.
- Lead hiring, mentoring, and capability development for Salesforce engineers and managers.
- Drive R&D initiatives and adoption of new Salesforce features and integrations.
- Ensure high-quality reporting through dashboards, roadmaps, and executive updates.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous improvement across teams.
- Hands-on expertise in Salesforce CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Cloud solutions.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with at least several years in engineering management roles.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, integrations, and enterprise system design.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Finance, and Product teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex Salesforce implementation challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
- Experience hiring, coaching, and mentoring Salesforce engineers and technical leaders.
- Ability to define roadmaps, manage priorities, and deliver in fast-paced environments.
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills in distributed and global team settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
