Global Head of Portfolio Solutions

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Placement team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in New York City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. 

As the Global Portfolio Solutions Leader you will lead the development, commercialization, and global delivery of Portfolio Solutions across Marsh Risk. This is an opportunity to build and scale proprietary solutions that align with business strategy, improve placement outcomes, and deliver measurable client value. In this critical leadership role, you will own the strategy, governance, execution, and cross-functional alignment required to accelerate solution adoption, optimize placement channels, and capture yield uplift.

We will count on you to:

  • Define, own and execute the global Portfolio Solutions strategy aligned with Marsh Risk’s placement philosophy and strategic priorities.

  • Lead development and commercialization of regional and global proprietary solutions, ensuring solutions are scalable, market-ready, and address business and client requirements.

  • Establish and run governance forums to prioritize solution development and utilization.

  • Lead through both a matrixed and direct structure, Portfolio Solutions leaders globally, ensuring consistent prioritization and execution of key strategies. Attract, develop and retain top talent for Portfolio Solutions globally.

  • Drive and execute Portfolio Solutions strategy in collaboration with global functions, including BCS, technology, compliance, legal and marketing.

  • Drive penetration in collaboration with across Marsh’s client/placement leaders through change management initiatives.

  • Partner with regional leaders, client executives, and distribution channels to ensure consistent messaging and uptake.

  • Lead development and prioritization of technology, in partnership with BCS and tech, to advance capabilities of Portfolio Solutions

  • Lead external strategic relationships across Portfolio Solutions to support development and execution of solutions.

  • Set clear KPIs globally and regionally to ensure accountability for solution creation, penetration and yield uplift,

  • Ensure all portfolio solutions meet Marsh’s risk appetite, compliance standards, and client risk management objectives.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration across placement, analytics, technology, and client teams.

What you need to have:

  • 12+ years’ experience in insurance broking, placement, portfolio solutions, underwriting, or related fields with proven global exposure.

  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling commercial product/solution portfolios across multiple regions.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with carriers, analytics, technology, legal and client leaders.

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and results orientation.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior (C-suite and carrier) levels.

  • Strong program and product management skills — able to prioritize and deliver complex, cross-border initiatives.

  • Data-driven decision-maker — comfortable using analytics to validate solution fit and measure outcomes.

  • Excellent communicator and presenter; able to build compelling narratives and enablement materials for client/placement teams.

  • Collaborative leader who can build trust across regions and drive alignment and accountability.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $189,700 to $459,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
