At PwC, our people in Deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raising. We help our clients navigate complex transactions to successfully accomplish their strategic objectives.PwC Vietnam Corporate Finance (M&A) team is frequently appointed as financial advisor for both multinational and domestic companies to provide financial and strategic advice to our clients contemplating Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transactions, including fund-raising, buy-side and sell-side initiatives.
We are currently looking for an Associate to join our team.
Job description:
- Draft core transaction materials, including information memorandum, management presentations, teasers, and pitch decks
- Build and maintain integrated financial models and trading and transaction comparables
- Take ownership of valuation analysis and translate the numbers into a clear view: what the figures say, and what they imply for the client's decision
- Conduct industry, company, and market research to support deal origination and execution
- Manage process logistics, including data rooms, buyer and investor outreach lists, Q&A, and timelines
- Prepare and quality-check your own work to a high standard before it reaches senior bankers
- Engage directly with clients, counsel, and counterparties as a credible day-to-day point of contact
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline with a strong academic record. CFA, ACCA, or CPA (in progress or completed) is a plus.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in M&A, transaction services, audit, valuation, corporate finance, or other comparable analytical roles. A Big 4 or investment banking background is an advantage
- A strong accounting foundation, with the ability to read a set of financial statements and identify the areas that warrant attention
- Good grasp of business, accounting & financial analysis, financial modelling and valuation skills, with strong command of Excel and PowerPoint
- Critical thinking: you question assumptions, pressure-test your own work, and form a view rather than waiting to be told the answer
- An entrepreneurial mindset: you take ownership, ask the right questions, and treat the client's problem as your own
- High attention to detail and the discipline to deliver accurate work under deadline pressure
- Strong written and spoken English; Vietnamese fluency preferred
