We are now looking for an Expert, Internal Controls to join our team in Wrocław UPM Business HUB, Poland.

What you will do

  • Design, monitor, test and improve internal controls over financial reporting in line with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Maintain guidelines and procedures relating to internal controls
  • Identify, assess and monitor existing and emerging risks
  • Ensure that controls are fully embedded in the design of business and finance processes
  • Define the control responsibilities and carry out the monitoring tasks, follow-up corrective actions
  • Support UPM Finance in the SAP Authorization and manage SAP SoD monitoring process
  • Build effective relationships across the group, and actively network with key partners to assess suitability of internal control design
  • Prepare various analyses to support internal and external audit and reporting
  • Assist with the implementation of new internal controls, provide trainings on internal controls

Who you are  

  • You have a first degree in accounting or economics
  • You have at least 5 years relevant professional experience in accounting or financial audit
  • You have a strong understanding of the primary business processes including Financial Close, Lead to Cash, Source to Pay, Record to Report, Inventory, Fixed Assets, etc.
  • You have hands-on experience with SAP Segregation of Duties (SoD) and GRC tools
  • You have ability to work effectively across business and functions and bring stakeholders together to solve problems and build consensus
  • You have ability to manage multiple initiatives at one time and prioritize appropriately
  • You can influence, lead trainings and drive sustainable change
  • You are fluent in English

Additional information 

The position holder will report to the Senior Manager in Internal Controls.

This job requires regular work from office every week in hybrid working model (3 days per week from the office).
