Financial Analyst

Amwins · 4725 Piedmont Row Drive Suite 600 Charlotte, North Carolina 28210

Position Overview

Our Finance team is looking for a Financial Analyst to support our work on retailer supplemental agreements. In this role, you'll analyze and model agreements across a growing portfolio, keep an eye on compliance, and report on how our retailers are performing. It's a good fit for someone who enjoys working in Excel, is comfortable digging into data, and wants to build their skills with tools like SQL, Power Pivot, and Power BI.

Beyond the technical side, we're looking for someone who communicates clearly in both writing and conversation, who can keep all stakeholders organized as agreements work through the stages of execution, and who can take complex financial or analytical data and turn it into insights people can actually use. You'll partner with teams across the company, so listening, finding common ground, staying organized, and contributing thoughtfully to the decisions at hand matter just as much as the numbers. And because the work and the tools keep evolving, we want someone who's genuinely open to learning, welcomes feedback, and looks for ways to keep improving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help develop, track, and analyze retailer supplemental agreements so they line up with our broader business goals.
  • Use SQL to model how new agreements and amendments to existing ones affect the portfolio.
  • Run peer analysis and benchmarking to see how well our retailer arrangements hold up against the competition.
  • Monitor front-end and opt-out compliance across production teams, flag potential risks, and help teams understand how to apply the terms correctly.
  • Work closely with Sales, Legal, IT, and Marketing as agreements are signed, changed, or renewed.
  • Help with the accrual and finalization of annual and quarterly retailer payments, keeping the process coordinated and accurate.
  • Prepare and maintain forecasts, variance analyses, and profit-sharing expense reports, with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
  • Report and present financial results, trends, and insights to divisional and group leadership, with clear recommendations they can act on.
  • Help build Power BI dashboards that show retailer performance and key financial metrics.
  • Look for ways to improve data accuracy, sharpen our analysis, and make the work more efficient.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power Pivot, or Power BI is a plus
