The Finance and Accounting Associate is entrusted with the responsibility of executing accounting, disbursement, and data analysis tasks, as directed by their immediate supervisor. The primary emphasis of this role lies in proficiently performing a range of finance and accounting functions, including composing reports, handling finance and accounting requests, and conducting data analysis. These responsibilities play a vital role in strengthening the operations of the accounting department, thereby ensuring the stability of the Company's financial and accounting operations.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage payables accounting tasks, including creating bills, journal entries, BIR Form 2307, expense accruals, and payment preparation.
Support the preparation and analysis of financial reports.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Review and process expense reimbursement and liquidation requests.
Issue checks for disbursements.
Aid in expenditure forecasting and budgeting.
Undertake additional finance and accounting duties as needed.
Assist with bank reconciliation efforts.
Prepare for annual audit schedules.
Manage the petty cash fund to optimize levels.
Maintain organized accounting records and a systematic filing system.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Holding a CPA license is highly preferred.
Possesses 1 to 2 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
Proficiency in using MS Office, Xero, and other cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, EFPS, and Workday is advantageous.
Possesses a working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Experience in preparing BIR tax filings and managing compliance-related responsibilities is highly preferred.
Displays willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, integrity, and a proactive approach to supporting both the finance team and the company.
Exhibits exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willing to work on a day shift schedule (6:30 AM – 3:30 PM), initially onsite for 2 months in the Clark office, then transitioning to a hybrid arrangement in the Makati office.
