This is a high-impact, strategic finance role supporting multiple client engagements across founder-led consumer and retail businesses. You will act as a key analytical partner to senior finance leaders, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that guide growth, profitability, and capital allocation. The role combines hands-on financial modeling with executive-level advisory work in a fast-paced, multi-client environment. You will build and maintain robust forecasting systems, performance dashboards, and investor-ready materials. Your work will directly influence decisions around margins, pricing, and operational efficiency across scaling businesses. Accountabilities:
- Own end-to-end financial data management across multiple client portfolios, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting of KPIs, margins, and performance metrics.
- Partner with accounting and controllership teams to validate financial statements, month-end close outputs, and reconciliation processes from source systems to executive reporting.
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards, board reporting packages, investor materials, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes across multiple engagements, ensuring alignment with business goals and financial targets.
- Build and maintain advanced financial models including three-statement models, long-term forecasts, scenario planning, and sensitivity analyses.
- Analyze unit economics, pricing structures, channel performance, vendor terms, and cost drivers to identify risks and opportunities for margin improvement.
- Support strategic discussions with CFOs, founders, and leadership teams, providing clear, data-driven recommendations for operational and financial decisions.
- Contribute to fundraising, M&A, and diligence processes through investor materials, cash flow analysis, and capital allocation modeling.
Requirements:
- 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial operations, controllership, or related finance functions.
- Strong experience owning planning cycles, financial reporting, executive dashboards, and end-to-end financial analysis.
- Advanced financial modeling expertise, including multi-year three-statement models, forecasting, scenario planning, and cash flow analysis.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles such as accrual vs cash accounting, revenue recognition, COGS, inventory accounting, and reconciliations.
- Experience working with consumer-focused business models such as retail, DTC, omnichannel, CPG, beauty, or similar industries.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to CFOs, founders, and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy, prioritization, and judgment.
- Experience in multi-client, consulting, or portfolio-based finance environments is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, BI platforms, or similar systems is an asset.
- Exposure to fundraising, M&A, lender reporting, or investor relations is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience using AI tools or automation to improve finance workflows is a plus.
