Director, Transaction Advisory Services

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Transaction Advisory Services based in the United States.

This is a senior client-facing leadership role within a high-performing transaction advisory environment, focused on delivering rigorous financial due diligence for private equity sponsors, lenders, and strategic acquirers. You will lead end-to-end engagements across buy-side and sell-side transactions, owning the analytical work, client relationships, and overall quality of deliverables. The role requires deep technical expertise in financial diligence combined with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable investment insights. You will operate with significant autonomy, acting as the primary point of accountability for engagement execution and client communication. In addition to delivery responsibilities, you will play a key role in developing junior talent and shaping best practices across the practice. This is a highly visible position where your work directly influences high-stakes investment decisions and deal outcomes. Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for private equity, lending, and corporate clients across diverse industries
  • Own the execution of quality of earnings analyses, working capital assessments, debt-like item identification, and cash flow reviews
  • Manage full engagement lifecycle including scoping, workplan development, timeline management, and delivery oversight
  • Identify, assess, and clearly communicate transaction risks and key financial considerations to support investment decisions
  • Produce and review financial due diligence reports that translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
  • Serve as the primary client contact, managing relationships with deal teams, executives, and third-party advisors
  • Lead management interviews and diligence discussions with target company leadership
  • Develop junior team members through coaching, review, and structured feedback to elevate analytical and communication quality
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal support and identifying opportunities within existing client relationships
  • Help refine internal methodologies, templates, and sector approaches to improve efficiency and consistency across engagements
  • Requirements:

    • 8+ years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, or Big 4 Deals/TAS environments
    • Strong track record leading full-scope buy-side and sell-side diligence engagements with minimal supervision
    • Deep expertise in US GAAP as applied to transactions, including EBITDA normalization, working capital, and debt-like adjustments
    • Experience working with private equity clients and middle-market transactions across multiple industries
    • CPA certification (active or eligible) with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency and ability to work with large financial datasets under tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial analysis into clear business implications
    • Proven leadership experience managing and developing junior team members in a high-performance environment
    • Strong commercial judgment and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, deal-driven settings
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and help shape processes in a lean organization
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary with a range of approximately $190,000–$220,000 depending on experience
