Finance Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Finance Manager based in Ireland.

This is a high-responsibility finance role at the heart of a scaling international organization, focused on strengthening and professionalizing accounting operations across multiple entities. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence while actively shaping how accounting processes are structured and executed in-house. The position combines hands-on accounting expertise with strategic ownership, particularly around process transformation and insourcing initiatives. You will be responsible for improving financial workflows, ensuring high-quality reporting, and supporting decision-making through reliable financial data. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors, you will help build a scalable finance function designed to support long-term growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in detail-oriented work while also driving meaningful structural improvements in a fast-evolving environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage and execute payment processes with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and financial control.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB standards, ensuring full compliance and reporting quality.
  • Take ownership of accounting operations and lead the transition of financial processes in-house.
  • Oversee multi-entity accounting activities, including consolidation across three legal entities.
  • Collaborate closely with external tax advisors on VAT, compliance, and broader tax-related matters.
  • Assess existing accounting structures and implement improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Maintain high-quality bookkeeping standards while ensuring consistent financial reporting across the organization.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners across German and international contexts.
  • Lead the assessment of current accounting processes within the first months and define a clear roadmap for insourcing activities.
  • Drive the successful insourcing of accounting operations for the German entity and establish stable, scalable financial processes.
  • Requirements:

    • 8+ years of professional experience in accounting, financial accounting, or similar finance roles.
    • Strong expertise in HGB accounting standards and German tax regulations.
    • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
    • Proven experience working with multi-entity structures and financial consolidation processes.
    • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
    • Structured, independent, and reliable working style with strong ownership mentality.
    • Excellent communication skills with an analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
    • Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as DATEV, NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
    • Exposure to fast-growing, international, or digital-first environments is a plus.
    • Experience leading accounting process improvements or insourcing initiatives is highly desirable.
