FP&A Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an FP&A Analyst based in Brazil.

This role plays a key part in shaping financial visibility and strategic decision-making within a fast-growing, high-performance environment. You will transform financial and operational data into actionable insights that support forecasting, budgeting, and company-wide planning. The position involves close collaboration with finance leadership and department heads to ensure clarity on performance, spend, and future financial outlooks. You will be responsible for maintaining forecasting models, monitoring KPIs, and improving reporting frameworks that guide critical business decisions. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and comfort working with evolving priorities. This is an opportunity to directly influence financial strategy and operational efficiency in a scaling organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and update financial forecasting models, including revenue projections, expense planning, headcount forecasting, and cash runway scenarios.
  • Prepare monthly budget vs actuals reporting, providing clear explanations of performance variances and actionable insights for leadership.
  • Partner with department leaders to monitor spend, budgets, headcount, and financial risks across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and recurring reporting on cash flow, burn rate, runway, and overall company performance.
  • Support board, investor, and strategic finance reporting through detailed financial analysis, scenario modeling, and variance explanations.
  • Improve and standardize financial reporting processes by building scalable templates and automating recurring workflows where possible.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accuracy of actuals and alignment with source financial systems.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability of FP&A processes.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning initiatives.
  • Requirements:

    • 3–6 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, or startup finance roles.
    • Strong financial modeling skills, including forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and management reporting.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
    • Experience with budget vs actuals reporting and variance analysis.
    • Strong understanding of SaaS or subscription business metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, retention, CAC, gross margin, burn, and runway.
    • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and ability to validate assumptions against source data.
    • Strong business judgment with the ability to identify key drivers, flag risks, and recommend actionable insights.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage recurring processes, deadlines, and multiple priorities with autonomy and ownership.
    • Experience using AI or automation tools to improve financial workflows is a plus.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
