This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Architect Expert – Telematics & Connected Claims based in the United States.
This senior individual contributor role sits at the intersection of business strategy, data, and technology, focused on transforming how telematics and connected-vehicle capabilities improve the end-to-end claims experience. You will help shape how real-time vehicle and crash data is used to accelerate FNOL, improve claim decisions, and enhance operational efficiency at scale. The role operates across enterprise architecture, partnering closely with claims, product, engineering, data science, and analytics teams. You will translate complex business needs into scalable capability models, roadmaps, and technical solutions. A key part of the mission is to identify high-value telematics use cases, validate them through experimentation, and guide their successful production rollout. This is a highly collaborative and strategic role where innovation, experimentation, and measurable business impact converge in a fast-evolving insurance technology environment.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the business architecture strategy for telematics-enabled claims, identifying high-impact opportunities across FNOL, claims triage, investigation, decisioning, and downstream workflows.
- Partner with claims, telematics, product, engineering, analytics, and data science teams to align priorities and translate business objectives into executable technical solutions.
- Define and measure success metrics for telematics use cases, including cycle time reduction, decision quality improvement, and enhanced customer experience outcomes.
- Drive discovery, experimentation, and test-and-learn initiatives to validate telematics-driven solutions before scaling across the organization.
- Develop and maintain business architecture frameworks, capability models, and roadmaps integrating connected-vehicle and telematics data.
- Analyze current processes to identify optimization opportunities, reuse potential, and improvements enabled by advanced data and automation.
- Guide implementation efforts and ensure integration between platforms, workflows, and telematics capabilities across cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and support less experienced business architects while contributing to enterprise transformation strategy and roadmap design.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in business architecture, product strategy, operating model design, or large-scale transformation roles.
- Strong experience applying telematics, connected-vehicle, or advanced data capabilities to improve operational or claims outcomes.
- Background in insurance (auto or property) or adjacent data-driven industries is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements, capability models, and scalable architecture solutions.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and data science teams in agile, cross-functional environments.
- Familiarity with experimentation, predictive analytics, and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
- Understanding of regulatory, privacy, and compliance considerations related to telematics or usage-based data.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across technical and business audiences.
Benefits:
- Competitive annual salary range: $110,000 – $181,025 based on experience and qualifications
- Remote-first work environment (United States-based role)
- Access to modern technology setup (laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, mouse provided)
- Monthly connectivity reimbursement for remote work expenses
- Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Paid time off and flexible leave policies
- Career development opportunities within a large-scale enterprise environment
- Exposure to innovative telematics, connected-claims, and advanced analytics initiatives
- Travel up to 10% for occasional meetings and collaboration sessions
