Drive Product Development: Guide products from early concept design to full-scale mass production while meeting customer expectations, design rules, and safety guidelines.
Design & Draft: Utilize 3D modeling and surfacing CAD software to design new products, and generate detailed 2D drawings following mechanical drafting standards.
Analyze & Optimize: Perform mechanical tolerance analysis and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to ensure product reliability.
Build & Test: Actively support prototype and pilot builds, conduct mechanical verification tests against product specifications, and write comprehensive test reports.
Manage Documentation: Set up and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs), release mechanical prints, author part qualification reports, and compile technical details for user manuals.
Ensure Safety Compliance: Apply your understanding of energy product safety (cells, batteries, power supplies, and chargers) directly into the design and assembly processes.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering and end-to-end product development.
CAD Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with 3D modeling/surfacing software and generating 2D mechanical drawings.
Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform DFMEA and mechanical tolerance analysis.
Industry Knowledge: A solid grasp of safety standards and assembly processes specifically related to energy products like batteries, cells, and chargers.
Communication: Clear written communication skills for creating technical reports, qualification documents, and user instructions.
