As a Principal Engineer (Mechanical/Structures) within the E&TS Team, you will support the delivery of Through Life Sustainment (TLS) and Configuration Item (CI) Management activities associated with the Structural and Mechanical aspects of the KC-30A Weapons System; including those relating to Airframe Structures, Propulsion Systems, Cabin Interiors & Fit Out, and other Mechanical Systems (incl. Engines, Landing Gears and AAR Systems).
Based at the NGA 145MO (BMMC), you will predominately provide technical assistance (in accordance with request) to Base Maintenance on behalf of Air Mobility Group (AMG) A93 as the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), as well as support to the associated Supply / Procurement teams.
However, as directed, you may be engaged to support Line Maintenance (33SQN) or other Continued / Continuing Airworthiness activities, including a range of Design / Military Type Certificate Holder (MTCH) Services (under DASR 21), Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) Services (under DASR M) and other Technical Services supporting Aircraft Sustainment (as relevant).
You will work within a team of Engineers and TSOs to deliver the required outcomes, and be expected to work closely with key stakeholders – particularly within the NGA 145 MO, 33 Squadron (33SQN) and AMG (A93) to promote a culture of integrated support and delivery.
As a highly experienced member of the team, you will also be expected to act as a technical leader and mentor within the E&TS team, and will be required to carry out limited supervisory responsibilities (indirect for tasking / resource allocation and prioritisation).
