Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Civil/Structural Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Lead Engineer will play a critical role in the design and development of a state-of-the-art stadium construction project. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence, safety, and sustainability are met. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the structural engineering design efforts for the stadium project, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
Provide technical expertise and oversight throughout the design process, from conceptual development to detailed engineering and construction documentation.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated design solutions.
Conduct detailed structural analysis and design of stadium components, including foundations, superstructure, and specialized sports facility elements.
Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and calculations prepared by the engineering team.
Ensure design solutions are optimized for safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Interface with clients, presenting design concepts and solutions, and addressing any technical inquiries or concerns.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
A minimum of 18 years of experience in structural engineering, with a significant focus on large-scale projects such as stadiums, arenas, or similar structures.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Extensive knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
