This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality virtual care experiences to patients across the United States. The Medical Assistant supports both clinical and administrative workflows that ensure smooth, efficient telehealth visits. You will work closely with clinicians and care teams to prepare patient information, manage electronic health records, and support real-time virtual consultations. The environment is fast-paced, digital-first, and centered on patient safety, accuracy, and empathy. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy combining hands-on clinical support with technology-enabled healthcare delivery. You will contribute directly to improving access to care while ensuring operational excellence in a remote healthcare setting.
Accountabilities:
- Support virtual care delivery by preparing and organizing patient intake information, ensuring completeness and accuracy before consultations.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR), including transferring data, documenting patient histories, and preparing charts for clinical visits.
- Coordinate scheduling and assist in managing appointments while ensuring video consultation readiness.
- Collect and document patient clinical information such as medical history, medications, and biometric screenings.
- Collaborate with nurses and clinical staff to support care planning and patient follow-ups.
- Communicate with patients and internal healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure all documentation and processes comply with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; completion of college coursework in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or telehealth environment.
- Active Medical Assistant certification required.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and general computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, virtual care environment.
- LPN/LVN background or nursing training is considered an asset.
