Immigration Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Immigration Manager based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced immigration and HR compliance professional to lead and enhance a global workforce mobility program. In this role, you will oversee immigration processes, work authorization compliance, and employee mobility initiatives while partnering closely with HR, legal, recruiting, and business leaders. You will serve as a trusted advisor on complex immigration matters, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations while delivering an exceptional experience for employees. The position offers a unique blend of strategic program management, regulatory expertise, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, international environment. Accountabilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain immigration policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks that support organizational hiring and mobility needs.
  • Monitor changes in immigration laws and regulations, assess potential business impacts, and recommend appropriate policy or process adjustments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees navigating immigration and work authorization matters, including visa sponsorship, transfers, and permanent residency processes.
  • Partner with recruiters, HR teams, business leaders, and external immigration counsel to develop effective immigration strategies and ensure timely case management.
  • Oversee visa and work authorization documentation, renewal tracking, expiration monitoring, and related compliance activities.
  • Manage annual immigration-related programs, including H-1B cap filings and other employment-based visa initiatives.
  • Lead right-to-work compliance efforts, including Form I-9 administration, reverification processes, E-Verify management, audits, and training programs.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and international HR teams to resolve compliance issues, improve systems, and support cross-border mobility initiatives.
  • Deliver training sessions, educational resources, compliance reporting, and program performance metrics to key stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and drive continuous improvement across immigration and work authorization programs.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR compliance, immigration management, or a related function across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, employment authorization requirements, and HR compliance best practices.
    • Experience managing visa programs such as H-1B, TN, L-1, permanent residency, and related immigration processes.
    • Familiarity with Form I-9 administration, E-Verify, right-to-work compliance, and audit management.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal counsel, HR teams, recruiters, business leaders, and external stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
    • Capacity to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a global environment.
    • Master’s degree or legal experience is considered a strong advantage.
