Human Resources Manager Responsibilities:
Attention to detail in all forms of communication, written and verbal.
Operational HR functions, recruitment, Health & Safety, development, culture and engagement
Manage the Recruiting and On-Boarding process for all new employees including our one-day Rev up Program.
Administer employee recognition program (OC Tanner).
Manage the Performance Review process by running monthly status reports to ensure completion.
Schedules require training for employees and follows up with employees and managers to ensure training is completed.
Implement and lead an effective performance management system and staff development plans.
Supports hiring managers and candidates throughout the hiring process, establishing regular touchpoints and providing support where needed.
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation.
Cultivates an effective People, Culture, Diversity and Inclusion environment, gaining a thorough understanding of each department's needs to ensure optimized workforce planning and talent development.
Enhances workplace culture and community by leading employee wellness and social initiatives and events.
Manage all appropriate paperwork for Accidents/Injury Reporting both internally and externally.
Manage and participate in monthly workplace inspections.
Maintain all Health & Safety Boards with compliant postings.
Plan and Co-Chair quarterly Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings for locations and ensure completion of tasks.
Human Resource Manager Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with CPHR certification; and five years’ experience in a similar position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
HR subject matter expert with a deep understanding of best practices in all generalist core areas.
Experience with HRIS (preferably UKG).
Deep knowledge of Manitoba labour laws and Manitoba’s WCB regulations.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR leader with a track record supporting and enabling a progressive organizational culture. This individual will work closely with managers and leadership on developing a broad range of employee engagement tools such as performance management, compensation structures and employee career development and learning. You will help lead the organization to deliver best-in-class people experience – including recruitment, onboarding, retention, policy development, performance management and employee engagement. This role will have responsibility for the greater Winnipeg market, supporting 5 commercial truck dealerships and over 200 team members, and will work across the organization with various teams, reporting directly to the Regional Director of Human Resources.
