Your role
We are seeking a Corporate Legal Analyst with deep expertise in legal entity management in a multinational company to join our global Legal team. This role will report to the U.S.-based Senior Corporate Counsel, Corporate & Securities and will manage Ciena’s international legal entity portfolio and support corporate governance activities across multiple jurisdictions.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with U.S. and global stakeholders, manage external counsel and corporate service providers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
You will be responsible for leading our global legal entity function, including: coordinating the establishment and ongoing maintenance of Ciena’s global subsidiaries; collaborating with stakeholders globally; and developing tools and practices that drive process enhancement and cost efficiency. You will also support both the Senior Corporate Counsel and the broader global Legal team on a wide variety of other matters that are part of the work of an in-house Legal team.

As a member of the Legal team, your role will be critical in keeping our corporate entities in compliance and functioning smoothly. You will also liaise with external law firms, other members of the Legal team, and other stakeholders across the globe to ensure that Ciena’s global entities and related policies and practices are consistent, compliant with local laws, and in alignment with Ciena’s core values.

You will work in collaboration with other members of the Ciena Legal organization and external lawyers. You will also interact with a variety of other functions on a regular basis, including Tax, Treasury, Real Estate, People & Culture, and Finance. Ciena enjoys a casual and flexible work environment where the focus is on outcomes, not where or when you get them done. We operate on a hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office. This role will be based in our Buenos Aires office where we have a vibrant team of legal professionals.
You will be part of a global organization with employees located in 36+ countries, hence the need to be flexible, adaptable and able to work autonomously.

The pay range for this position, in Argentina, is $28,977,300.00 - $46,288,500.00 ARS
