Contracts Manager

In this pivotal legal and commercial role, you will lead the negotiation, drafting, and management of a wide range of business agreements that support strategic growth and operational excellence. Acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, you will collaborate across departments to ensure contracts are structured efficiently, risks are appropriately managed, and business objectives are achieved. Accountabilities:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS subscriptions, statements of work, data privacy agreements, software licensing arrangements, consulting services contracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the contracting lifecycle, coordinating negotiations and facilitating communication between internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, and external advisors when necessary.
  • Provide guidance on contract interpretation, compliance requirements, risk management considerations, and contractual obligations.
  • Partner closely with business teams to understand operational goals and support commercial initiatives through practical legal solutions.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, documentation, and reporting to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of contracting processes, templates, and best practices to improve scalability and consistency.
  • Support onboarding and training efforts for team members while participating in special legal, compliance, and business projects as needed.
  • Manage multiple priorities and contract negotiations simultaneously while ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Paralegal Studies, Communications, or a related discipline.
    • 8–12 years of experience in contract management, commercial negotiations, legal operations, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing SaaS agreements and other complex commercial transactions.
    • Prior experience working within technology, software, life sciences, pharmaceutical, contract research, or similarly regulated industries is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of contract drafting, legal terminology, risk assessment, and commercial negotiation strategies.
    • Familiarity with data privacy regulations, information security requirements, HIPAA, or related compliance frameworks is advantageous.
    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree is considered a plus but is not required.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to produce precise, high-quality documentation.
    • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, manage competing priorities, and work independently while exercising sound judgment.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and contract management or CRM platforms, including Salesforce.
