This is a high-impact legal role focused on navigating complex global regulatory environments within the fintech and digital assets space. You will play a critical part in securing and expanding international licensing coverage by leading strategic regulatory applications across multiple jurisdictions. Acting as a key bridge between legal, compliance, and AML functions, you will help translate evolving regulatory frameworks into actionable operational standards. The role involves close interaction with senior leadership and exposure to fast-changing global crypto regulations. You will operate in a dynamic, high-growth environment where precision, autonomy, and regulatory insight are essential. Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end regulatory licensing applications across jurisdictions, including VASP, MiCA, MSB, and other financial service authorizations
  • Monitor global regulatory developments in fintech and crypto markets and provide clear, actionable briefings to executive leadership
  • Analyze evolving legal frameworks from regulators such as the SEC, CFTC, FCA, MAS, and others to assess business impact
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance and AML teams to translate regulatory requirements into operational policies and audit-ready processes
  • Support the design and implementation of governance frameworks aligned with global licensing obligations
  • Ensure regulatory documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with jurisdiction-specific requirements
  • Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies where required
  • Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies related to licensing and regulatory exposure
  • Support cross-functional initiatives related to compliance transformation and global expansion
  • Requirements:

    • Qualified lawyer with active legal credentials
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial regulation, fintech law, or related legal advisory roles
    • Strong expertise in crypto regulation, digital assets frameworks, payment services laws, or traditional financial regulatory systems
    • Proven experience managing complex regulatory or licensing projects in multi-jurisdictional environments
    • Strong understanding of global regulatory bodies and frameworks (e.g., SEC, FCA, MAS, CFTC, EU regulatory regimes)
    • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to legal detail and risk awareness
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple complex legal and regulatory workstreams
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage regulators and senior leadership
    • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese is highly preferred
    • Familiarity with crypto use cases and blockchain-based financial services is an advantage
