Public Affairs France - Associate

Alan · Paris, France

Health can’t wait.

Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.

Alan exists to end the wait.

Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.

So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.

We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.

Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 800+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.

Your mission

Public affairs at Alan is one of the most ambitious bets we're making right now.

We've spent years building a reputation as a trusted, credible voice with public decision-makers - and it's paying off.

Currently, Alan's public affairs team is lean while the agenda is quite promising for the years to come: we need someone to help us scale and you'll be the one driving this.

It's a full-time role for someone who wants to be at the center of some of the most consequential healthcare policy debates in France, with real ownership from day one, in one of the fastest-growing tech unicorns in Europe.

What makes this role genuinely unique

  • You'll be embedded in France's most exciting Public Affairs team in health-related topics - a core challenge for the French Social Model and a space where Alan has genuine credibility, real battles to fight, and an outsized voice.

  • The work spans everything: political strategy, legislative monitoring, external relations, internal coordination, and AI tool-building to make the whole team run faster and smarter.

  • You'll have a direct impact on how Alan shapes French healthcare policy ahead of a pivotal budget and election cycle… and beyond.

  • You'll be directly exposed to senior Alaners: Founders, General and Product Managers, and technical teams (health professionals, engineers…).

What you'll own

Structuring and solidifying operations

The PA function is increasingly needing to improve its foundations. You'll build them:

  • Formalize our legislative intelligence process: from how we track parliamentary agendas to how we brief internal teams on what matters and why

  • Systematize the full meeting lifecycle: prep templates, note structures, follow-ups

  • Operationalize our stakeholder tracking: turn scattered contacts into a clean, reliable system that the whole team can use and that gets smarter over time

Research, notes, and political intelligence

  • Produce sharp, well-sourced notes on key policy topics: what's happening in Parliament, what it means for Alan and for our members

  • Maintain a live political veille covering the legislative calendar, emerging debates, press coverage, and competitor positioning - and translate it into clear signals

  • Draft position papers, argumentation briefs, and talking point libraries on the topics that matter most

  • Dive into Alan's expert knowledge (fraud, prevention, health data…): extract it from operational teams, formalise it into sharp deliverables (notes, slides), and share it with public institutions. This means being genuinely hands-on and comfortable going deep on complex topics

Building AI tools for the team

This is a core part of the role, not a bonus. Of course you’ll grow and learn on the spot, but this requires curiosity from the start on these topics to quickly ramp up on these tools.

Coordination and project support

  • Own the cross-functional threads between public affairs and other teams (product, legal, data, sales…)

  • Track open workstreams, keep owners accountable, surface blockers before they become problems

  • Handle the operational backbone of high-visibility external engagements: logistics, prep documents, debrief notes, next steps

What we're looking for

Skills

  • You're genuinely passionate about French politics and health policy

  • You understand how French legislative processes work - not just in theory, but how things actually move. Ideally, you've lived it from the inside

  • You're rigorous and autonomous: you own things end-to-end, you track your threads, you close the loop

  • You're AI-native: you think in workflows, you love building tools.

  • You're an excellent writer in French

  • You're personable and politically savvy: you can build solid relationships internally and externally, and you understand how to navigate complex environments

  • You love breadth - political analysis in the morning, process design in the afternoon, AI tool iteration in parallel…

Levels

  • 3 to 5 years of experience, with hands-on experiences to the French legislative process.

  • Sciences Po Paris or a strong law school background

  • Curious, rigorous, and eager to grow - someone who will roll up their sleeves and own the work, not just oversee it
