Editorial and Publishing Manager, Spanish LATAM

Role Overview:
PlayStation Latin America is seeking a passionate and dynamic Editorial and Publishing manager to join the Global Content Communications team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Content Communications and dotted line to the Manager, LATAM Communications, this individual will support the development and execution of social marketing and communications strategy across key owned PlayStation social media channels in all Latin America Spanish Speaker territories with a particular focus on the Mexico region.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong execution across day-to-day publishing, real-time content, and campaign support. Success in this position relies on a deep understanding of LATAM gaming culture and the ability to translate that into timely, platform-native content.
This position is responsible for contributing to strategic planning, managing day-to-day social operations, supporting global content amplification, and helping develop locally relevant content. You will be tasked to develop strategies that drive engagement and awareness, increase PlayStation community interaction, and build cultural relevance in the regions. You will encourage love for the brand and drive awareness and consideration of PlayStation hardware, software, and services. This role will also support 3rd party partnerships, and the local PR & Influencer manager with social media deliverables strategy.
The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with sharp social media instincts and a strong creative voice. They bring a proven track record of both strategic thinking and hands-on content creation, with a genuine passion for gaming, entertainment, and pop culture. Highly skilled in photography and short-form video production, they know how to craft compelling, authentic content that resonates with audiences and drives engagement.
What you’ll be doing:
Social Media Management:
- Bring PlayStation communities together around the shared passion of gaming, and help our fans discover new first and third-party games, celebrate updates for their live service favourites and inform them on the latest news in gaming hardware, peripherals and subscription services.
- Use your expertise of local culture, trends, interests, humor, and platform-specific behaviors to create cultural relevance for Mexico and Spanish-speaking LATAM markets
- Work with PlayStation Global and third-party partner teams to ensure Global campaigns and content beats are supporting across regional PlayStation social channels.
- Work alongside the Global team to formulate annual strategic plans across all social platforms and support the marketing team in developing, implementing and maintaining social campaigns
- Use your local expertise to adapt global social media strategies and assets to ensure they resonate at the local level
- Lead day-to-day operations of regional PlayStation social channels, working closely with local agency partners in developing monthly social content plans and identifying and actioning relevant real-time opportunities.
- Support Spanish LATAM Communications Manager with social media Influencers & Creators tactics and strategies
- Use your keen understanding of gaming, pop culture and upcoming/ongoing trends on social media platforms to keep teams informed about industry changes, new developments and social media feature updates
- React in real time to internal and external events, seizing opportunistic moments to drive social engagement through paid media, in collaboration with the Communications, Marketing and Paid Media team.
- Support live event coverage for local and Global events.
- Manage a social escalation policy, working closely with local and Global leads, as well as internal customer service teams, when required
- Be the voice of PlayStation in Latin America, ensuring content and copy aligns with our Global PlayStation brand behaviours and localized Tone of Voice.
- Balance business needs with community interests to deliver engaging content that delights our fans.
- Use your analytics know-how to build out reports and analysis of social performance, developing benchmarks, best practices and sharing insight and takeaways within established global frameworks
Administration:
- Budget & time management – ensure that you are working with agencies on delivering content in time for local and Global review, as needed. You will be expected to define budgets, interrogate budgets thoroughly ahead of approval and keep within the agreed budget.
- Monthly budget forecasting and financial administration in relation to all PlayStation social agencies and hard costs.
- Ensure Social sentiment and consumer reaction to announcements are captured and shared with partners from across the SIE territory and Global business.
- Deliver comprehensive evaluations after launches that provides an overview of performance, insights, results vs. critical metrics and findings.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in digital marketing, content strategy, or a creative / media agency role.
- Experience supporting social creative development, digital campaigns, and performance measurement
- Excellent social content creation skills, with a particular focus on video and photography. An understanding of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro) is a must.
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, social media publishing analytics and listening tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications or related field, equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of the Mexican and Spanish-speaking LATAM social media landscape and creative best practices.
- Passion for social with a desire to stay informed on emerging social trends, Global trends, and willingness to act with urgency on real time and test-and-learn innovation opportunities.
- A cultural and gaming aficionado who understands gamer culture and what captures hearts and minds to drive fandom and influence.
- A teammate who can identify and cultivate key relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a persistent attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and suggest improvements within established global frameworks
- Comfort and skill with leveraging social analytics and player insights to inform strategy.
- Ability to apply a data-centric approach to the testing and optimization of content.
- Can thrive in a fast-paced ever-changing environment with ability to think on their feet and pivot when needed.
- Native to fluent Spanish level required
