About This Position 

Sandisk is looking for a Social Media Specialist. We are seeking a strategic and experienced, results-driven professional to elevate our brand presence, immersive consumer engagement and drive conversion/sales.  

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for driving and executing our social media strategy and campaigns across key platforms to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business objectives.

The position reports to the Director, Regional Social Lead and partners deeply across the Consumer Business working closely within the Regional and Local Marketing and Sales Teams, and other functions across the company to drive effective and efficient execution.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop, edit, and publish engaging content (photo, video, copy) tailored to each platform’s best practices while ensuring content meets brand guidelines and standards. 
  • Monitor social audience and community engagements/interactions, respond appropriately in the Sandisk's “tone-of-voice" and escalate issues when needed. 
  • Support and execute social media campaigns across platforms (Weibo, Wechat, Wechat Channel, Douyin, Bilibili, RedNote etc). 
  • Measure performance, analyze insights, and report weekly/monthly with actionable recommendations. 
  • Work closely with regional/local marketing and sales teams, influencers and external agency teams to support campaigns and launches. 
  • Manage and support photo/video shoots and/or content capture at events or brand activations. 
  • Manage and run “LIVE streams” within selected social platforms (e.g. Weibo, Wechat, Wechat Channel, Douyin, Bilibili, RedNote etc). 
  • Track social media trends, emerging features, and competitive activity to guide content and platform strategy. Proactively identify conversations, sentiment, trends and opportunities to join cultural moments on social media platforms.
  • Contribute to overall social media content and campaign planning to achieve business and marketing objectives and key metrics.
  • 4+ years of experience successfully managing social media content, channels and campaigns for global/international brands.
  • Proven ability to strategize and lead influencer campaigns within platforms such as such as Weibo, Wechat, Wechat Channel, Douyin, Bilibili, RedNote or similar.  
  • Proven ability and experience in managing paid media campaigns across various social platforms (e.g. Weibo ads, Wechat ads, Wechat Channel ads, Douyin ads, Bilibili ads, RedNote ads etc.)
  • Proficiency in social media management platforms and tools with experience utilizing them to optimize engagement and track performance metrics.  
  • Ability to meet deadlines and post to social media accounts in real time, with little need for oversight.  
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong agility to pivot and adapt execution as the strategy evolves, and can take direction/feedback well.  
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data, track key performance indicators, and make sound recommendations to enhance social media strategy.  
  • Proven skills in content creation within the Adobe Suite, Figma, or similar. Skills in handling camera equipment, lighting, audio and video editing is a plus. 
  • Staying updated with industry-related and cross-vertical social media trends. 
  • Understanding and/or experience with PC DIY and Gaming, and demonstrated interest in technology brands and consumer tech products.
