The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Operations Analyst to join Group Finance. Our finance operations are changing quickly: manual, transactional work is giving way to automated workflows, and the team is building out to match. In this role you’ll own accounts payable and procurement end-to-end, and act as system owner for Ramp (Bill Payments and Expense Management) and Omnea (Procurement Orchestration).

That means working cross-functionally to get the most out of both platforms, finding where processes can be tightened or automated, and applying a risk-based approach to internal controls that gets the governance right without adding friction.

You’ll also contribute to M&A integration work, helping to bring acquired and international entities onto Multiverse’s finance infrastructure and standardising how AP and procurement operate across them. It’s a good fit for someone who thinks in systems rather than tasks.

Specifically, you will

  • Own accounts payable and procurement end-to-end, including payment runs, supplier onboarding, account reconciliations, and correct VAT treatment on vendor invoices, with accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and financial controls across all entities.

  • Identify and deliver process improvements, using automation tools (e.g. Zapier, Google Apps Script) and AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to cut manual effort.

  • Act as system owner for Ramp (Bill Payments and Expense Management) and Omnea (Procurement Orchestration), working alongside our ERP (NetSuite) to optimise how the full finance tech stack is configured and governed.

  • Contribute to M&A integration by onboarding acquired entities onto Multiverse’s finance infrastructure and standardising AP and procurement processes across international entities.

  • Contribute to the design of internal controls using a risk-based approach, then lead their implementation across AP, procurement, and expense workflows, working with stakeholders to apply the right level of governance without adding friction.

  • Manage multi-currency and cross-border payments in line with internal policy, and keep supplier and customer accounts reconciled.

  • Analyse transactional data to surface trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and bring findings to Finance Managers and senior stakeholders.

  • Support month-end close through accurate data entry, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting inputs.

  • Own the employee expense experience, reducing friction for employees to spend while building automated, AI-powered guardrails that catch issues without manual overhead. Use the underlying data to report on spending trends and help the business understand spend efficiency, including its contribution to customer acquisition costs.

  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve queries, drive adoption of best practices, and see improvement initiatives through from identification to delivery.

About you

  • You have a strong grasp of how finance operations work end-to-end, built through experience in industry, practice, or audit. A background in finance or accounting is expected, though we’re open to the route you’ve taken to get there.

  • You think in systems. When you encounter a process, your instinct is to understand how it fits the bigger picture and where it can be improved, not just to complete the task in front of you.

  • Continuous improvement is how you work, not something you apply occasionally. You spot inefficiencies, design fixes, and follow through until they’re actually in place.

  • You’re confident working with finance systems, ideally including an ERP such as NetSuite, and comfortable picking up new tools quickly. You’re genuinely curious about how automation and AI can change the way finance operations work.

  • You understand internal controls and can apply a risk-based approach: you know the difference between governance that protects the business and governance that just creates friction.

  • You communicate clearly and work well cross-functionally. You can take process and control thinking and turn it into recommendations people will actually act on.

Benefits

  • Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 5 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days, 2 company-wide wellbeing days (M-Powered Weekend) and 8 bank holidays per year

  • Health & Wellness- private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, gym membership & wellness resources through Wellhub and access to Spill - all in one mental health support

  • Hybrid work offering - for most roles we collaborate in the office three days per week with the exception of Coaches and Instructors who collaborate in the office once a month

  • Work-from-anywhere scheme - you'll have the opportunity to work from anywhere, up to 10 days per year
