Job Description Summary

The Communication Design Specialist and Project Manager - AI Enablement supports the Aerospace People Operations team, which supports all end users of GE Aerospace, by developing clear, compelling communications and leading projects that improve how work gets done through the effective use of AI. This role blends communication design, project management, and continuous improvement to help teams simplify complex information, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and accelerate adoption of scalable, standardized ways of working.
The ideal candidate brings a customer-driven mindset, strong visual and written communication skills, and disciplined project execution. This individual works across teams to translate the global servicing strategy into actionable communications, manage priorities and milestones, and identify opportunities to apply AI in ways that improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), streamline processes, and support better business outcomes.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality communication assets including videos, digital assets, printable information, infographics, training materials, toolkits, and internal campaign content aligned to business priorities.
  • Translate complex business, operational, and technical topics - including AI-related initiatives - into clear, audience-focused messaging and visual communications.
  • Support change management and adoption efforts by creating communications and guidance that help teams understand new tools, processes, and expectations.
  • Lead projects from planning through execution by defining scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines, stakeholders, and review/approval processes.
  • Drive strong operating rhythms for communication and project execution, including status tracking, action planning, risk identification, and follow-up.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and leaders to gather requirements, align on outcomes, and ensure on-time delivery of quality outputs.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI tools to improve content development, reduce cycle time, increase consistency, and enhance team productivity.
  • Establish and sustain standard work, templates, and repeatable communication processes that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Ensure communication deliverables align with brand standards, business objectives, governance requirements, and responsible use of AI.
  • Monitor project performance, stakeholder feedback, and adoption outcomes to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, Business, Project Management, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Experience in communication design, project management, business operations, transformation, or a related role.
  • Experience working with digital tools and familiarity with AI-enabled platforms that support content creation, productivity, or workflow improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to create professional, effective communications for multiple stakeholder levels, including leadership audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, prioritization, and execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions in a matrixed environment and influence without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting lean, continuous improvement, transformation, or operating system initiatives.
  • Familiarity with FLIGHT DECK principles such as standard work, daily management, action planning, and problem solving.
  • Experience developing executive communications, training content, or change adoption materials.
  • Understanding of responsible AI practices, governance expectations, and risk awareness in business processes.
  • Experience in a complex, technical, or highly regulated industry environment.
