Product Strategy and Operations Lead, Pixel (Japanese, English)

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

We are looking for entrepreneurially driven professionals who possess a blend of business acumen and program management expertise to scale and optimize Google's global smartphone and ecosystem presence.

In this role, you will provide end-to-end launch management for Pixel phones and ecosystem products, including wearables and accessories. Your responsibilities include coordinating with product, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful market delivery across APAC. Your duties involve defining project milestones, documenting requirements, and managing complex workstreams. You will navigate a fast-paced environment by balancing strategic planning with meticulous execution. Your success in this position requires a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, finance, supply chain, and hardware operations to advance the Pixel business.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working in consumer electronics including products and technologies.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in navigating and delivering results in global and consumer-centric professional settings.
  • Experience in project management and organizational oversight, underpinned by critical thinking and problem-solving expertise.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional groups and driving outcomes within environments that prioritize shared decision-making and collaboration.
  • Experience working with staff and stakeholders that are geographically dispersed.
  • Understanding of consumer electronics or smartphone launch cycles, with the ability to transition seamlessly from high-level strategy to detailed execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including active listening.
