As a Commercial Operations Analyst at Zoox, you will help build and run the operational engine that drives our commercial P&L. Sitting at the center of our commercial business, you will turn pricing, promotions, and demand signals into the day-to-day and week-to-week decisions that move our growth and profitability targets—and stand up the rigor and rhythm that lets us manage those levers as we scale.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who is equally comfortable in the data and in the operating cadence of a fast-moving business. You will partner closely with Product, Data Science, Fleet Operations, and Finance to translate complex commercial dynamics into clear actions, while helping establish the foundational processes that a growing Central Market Management team will be built on. It is ideal for a technical, structured operator who is energized by ambiguity and excited to shape how an autonomous mobility business is run.
In this role you will:
Run strategic pricing and promotions operations—standing up and owning the recurring processes to make, monitor, and evaluate pricing and promo decisions, and continuously assess how our commercial systems are performing.
Own the weekly rhythm of commercial health monitoring, building the metrics, reporting, and review cadences (e.g., market and system health, experiment readouts) that surface issues and guide lever decisions across the business.
Partner with Finance to translate commercial systems outputs and decisions into P&L impact, helping connect pricing, promos, and demand actions to cost, profit, and bookings outcomes.
Translate supply-demand dynamics into operational inputs—working with Fleet Orchestration and Fleet
Operations to inform parameterization, vehicle-hour targets, and demand management across waitlist, gating, and dynamic pricing.
Synthesize messy operational and financial data into clear, decision-ready recommendations and narratives for cross-functional partners and leadership.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in a quantitative, high-output role—e.g., analytics, data science, strategy & operations, management consulting, investment banking, or a comparable operating role (ideally within mobility, logistics, marketplaces, or tech).
Strong technical foundation, with proficiency in SQL and Excel/Sheets and the ability to independently pull, structure, and analyze large, disparate datasets; comfort writing Python (or similar) to accelerate analysis is expected.
A degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., economics, finance, data science, engineering, or a related field); advanced degrees (MS or MBA) welcome.
Structured, hypothesis-driven problem solver who goes beyond surface metrics to understand underlying drivers, with strong analytical rigor and a high bar for accuracy in data that informs business and leadership decisions.
Ability to distill complex analysis into concise storytelling and to operate effectively across functions in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience standing up new operational processes, metrics, or reporting rhythms from scratch (vs. running an established playbook).
Familiarity with pricing, promotions, demand/supply forecasting, or marketplace economics.
Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, etc.) and/or advanced analytics tooling (Python, R, Databricks).
