Staff Product Manager

Jobgether · US

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Manager based in the United States.

This role sits at the center of a world-class developer platform used by millions of engineers and thousands of enterprise organizations globally. You will define and scale the next generation of API infrastructure powering real-time, AI-driven, and event-based software ecosystems. The work spans platform strategy, developer experience, and monetization of large-scale API consumption. You will shape how external developers, enterprise customers, and AI agents interact with critical platform capabilities. The environment is highly technical, cross-functional, and deeply data-driven, requiring strong alignment across engineering, finance, and go-to-market teams. Your decisions will directly influence platform reliability, ecosystem growth, and long-term business sustainability. This is a high-impact role for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of APIs, distributed systems, and developer tooling.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for large-scale API platforms, including real-time, event-driven, and agent-ready architectures. Translate customer and ecosystem needs into clear product strategy and execution plans.
  • Lead the transition from traditional request/response APIs to subscription-based, event-streaming models with strong guarantees around reliability, ordering, and scalability.
  • Drive API parity initiatives by identifying functional gaps across the platform and prioritizing high-impact improvements that enhance developer trust and integration capability.
  • Design and evolve consumption and pricing models for APIs, including usage-based and tiered structures that balance ecosystem health with platform economics.
  • Partner closely with engineering, finance, billing, and customer-facing teams to ensure scalable infrastructure, sustainable cost models, and seamless developer adoption.
  • Represent the product externally through customer engagement, executive communication, and developer-facing content to drive adoption and alignment.
  • Requirements:

    • 8+ years of experience in product management, technical program leadership, software development, or related technical roles, with strong exposure to platform or infrastructure products.
    • Deep experience (2+ years minimum) working with developer tools, APIs, or platform ecosystems, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear product direction.
    • Proven track record of shipping APIs or large-scale distributed/event-driven systems, including real-time or streaming architectures.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to guide prioritization, measure impact, and optimize product and business outcomes.
    • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, sales, and customer success teams in complex technical environments.
    • Familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models is highly preferred.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders and influencing multi-team roadmaps.
    • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments while driving alignment across global, distributed teams.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus and equity/stock eligibility depending on role structure
      • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
      • Retirement savings plans with employer contributions (e.g., 401(k))
      • Flexible remote-first work environment within the United States
      • Generous paid time off, parental leave, and global well-being programs
      • Learning and development support for technical and leadership growth
      • Inclusive and diverse workplace culture focused on collaboration and impact
