This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Manager, Telematics based in Canada.
This is a high-impact leadership role at the core of a mission-critical data platform that powers large-scale physical operations technology. You will define the vision and strategy for a complex telematics ecosystem that ingests, processes, and serves massive volumes of vehicle and device data. Acting as the bridge between engineering, product, and enterprise customers, you will ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, and capable of supporting advanced AI-driven capabilities. You will also lead the development of API-first products and integrations that enable external partners and enterprise clients to build on top of the platform. The role requires strong technical depth, strategic thinking, and the ability to align multiple stakeholders across a fast-moving organization. This is a pivotal position shaping how telematics data powers analytics, automation, and next-generation fleet intelligence.
Accountabilities:
- Define and own the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the telematics data platform.
- Partner closely with engineering and R&D teams to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Lead the design and launch of external-facing APIs, webhooks, and enterprise-grade data integrations.
- Translate complex telematics and IoT data challenges into clear product requirements and scalable solutions.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, AI, and go-to-market teams.
- Enable platform readiness for global expansion and new market requirements.
- Mentor and coach product managers, helping scale product management excellence across the organization.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product management experience, including leadership or staff-level responsibilities.
- Proven experience building and scaling data platforms, API-first products, or IoT/distributed systems.
- Strong technical background (Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience).
- Deep understanding of platform product management and multi-stakeholder prioritization.
- Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across complex organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret system data and platform health metrics.
- Experience working with enterprise customers and translating integration needs into product solutions.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly technical environments.
