This role sits at the core of enterprise People Systems strategy, responsible for ensuring the stability, evolution, and continuous improvement of a complex HR technology ecosystem. You will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of HCM platforms, with a strong focus on Workday and integrated HR applications, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with organizational priorities. Acting as both a technical leader and delivery owner, you will translate business needs into scalable system solutions while managing enhancements, operations, and strategic projects. The role also involves leading a team of specialists, guiding vendor partners, and ensuring high-quality execution across all HR technology initiatives. You will collaborate closely with HR, IT, finance, and external providers to drive alignment and optimize system performance. Accountabilities:
- Own the performance, stability, and continuous improvement of enterprise HR/HCM systems, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability
- Lead day-to-day operations of People Systems including incidents, upgrades, enhancements, releases, and configuration management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of Workday integrations, including design, development, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Lead delivery of HR technology projects from intake through deployment, ensuring alignment with governance and business priorities
- Manage vendor and third-party relationships, ensuring quality delivery, accountability, and alignment with enterprise objectives
- Provide leadership to a team of HR Technology Specialists, including coaching, performance management, and capability development
- Support governance processes including intake management, prioritization, impact analysis, and reporting to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, security standards, and audit requirements (including SOX/CSOX)
- Partner with HR, IT, finance, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective system solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, with strong expertise in HR/HCM systems (Workday, ADP, SuccessFactors, or equivalent)
- Proven experience leading application delivery, system operations, and cross-functional HR technology initiatives
- Strong background in Workday integrations, configuration, and enterprise system architecture
- Experience managing vendors, implementation partners, and managed service providers
- Solid understanding of SDLC, change management, and enterprise application governance frameworks
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching and managing technical teams
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage competing priorities in complex, fast-paced enterprise environments
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and focus on continuous improvement
