This is a high-impact platform leadership role focused on defining and evolving the foundational systems that power policy administration, billing, payments, and core APIs within a modern, data-driven insurance ecosystem. You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, technical architecture, and cross-functional execution, shaping multi-year roadmaps that directly influence scalability, reliability, and customer experience. The role requires deep experience in platform thinking, particularly in regulated environments where stability, compliance, and extensibility are critical. - Serve as the primary product owner for platform initiatives, aligning engineering, architecture, and executive stakeholders on priorities and trade-offs.
- Lead discovery efforts for complex platform challenges, ensuring problems are clearly defined and validated through data, research, and business context.
- Own API strategy and standards, ensuring internal and external consumers benefit from reliable, scalable, and well-documented interfaces.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of platform capabilities, from early concept and prototyping through production rollout and adoption.
- Write detailed product requirements, user stories, and technical documentation to enable engineering teams to execute with clarity.
- Define and track platform success metrics, using insights to guide prioritization and continuous improvement.
- Manage key external vendor relationships, including payment processors and third-party platform providers.
- Mentor and support other product managers, helping elevate product rigor and strategic thinking across the team.
- 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 7+ years in product management roles focused on software platforms or infrastructure.
- Proven experience in fintech, insurtech, or other regulated financial services environments.
- Strong track record of leading platform modernization, migration, or re-platforming initiatives at scale.
- Technical fluency sufficient to engage deeply in architecture discussions and understand system design trade-offs.
- Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, and platform ecosystems supporting multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Vendor management experience, ideally with payment systems, policy administration platforms, or third-party data providers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and executive audiences.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a bias toward data-driven decision-making.
- Nice to have: familiarity with insurance systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek), payments infrastructure (e.g., Stripe, Braintree), or P&C insurance products.
- Competitive salary between 170,000 and 192,000 plus equity in the form of RSUs
- 401(k) with company match up to 4 percent
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans
- Company-funded HSA contributions (depending on plan selection)
