This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Test Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of complex software systems within a fast-paced engineering environment. You will be responsible for designing and scaling advanced test automation frameworks that support continuous delivery and high-quality releases across frontend, backend, and APIs. Working closely with Engineering and Product teams, you will help define testing strategies that directly influence product stability and user experience. This role combines hands-on automation development with technical leadership, mentoring, and quality ownership across teams. You will contribute to shaping engineering standards and driving a strong culture of test excellence. Accountabilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks, suites, and strategies across multiple products to ensure robust test coverage and reliable software delivery.
- Build and scale automation infrastructure integrated with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast feedback loops and efficient cross-platform validation.
- Develop and execute automated and targeted manual testing, including exploratory testing, UI/UX validation, and edge-case scenario coverage.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to define test plans, acceptance criteria, and quality standards for complex features and system enhancements.
- Monitor, investigate, and triage test failures, ensuring clear bug reporting and close collaboration with development teams for timely resolution.
- Drive improvements in QA processes, tools, and engineering quality standards across teams and projects.
- Contribute to performance, load, and reliability testing strategies while ensuring automation aligns with real user journeys and system behavior.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior Test Engineering or QA Automation role within a mature engineering environment.
- Strong expertise in building and scaling automated test frameworks using modern tools such as Cypress or Playwright.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Solid understanding of frontend, backend, and API testing, including experience in microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with strong focus on scalability and maintainability.
- Strong knowledge of data validation concepts using SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of quality initiatives and deliver measurable impact in previous roles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly meticulous approach to engineering quality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across distributed and cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior QA/Test Engineers is highly desirable.
