This is a senior enterprise leadership role responsible for shaping and executing a unified Asset Protection and Environmental Health & Safety strategy across a large, multi-site supply chain and distribution network. The position plays a critical role in protecting people, physical assets, inventory integrity, and brand reputation while enabling safe, efficient, and compliant operations. You will lead a team of field-based leaders and partner closely with operations, logistics, legal, and risk stakeholders to reduce shrink, improve safety outcomes, and strengthen regulatory compliance. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on incident and crisis leadership in a fast-paced retail and logistics environment. You will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement in loss prevention, fraud mitigation, and safety performance. This is a highly visible leadership position with direct impact on operational resilience and enterprise risk reduction.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will lead enterprise-wide Asset Protection and EHS strategy, ensuring strong execution across distribution, supply chain, and transportation operations while driving safety, compliance, and loss prevention outcomes.
- Develop and execute integrated Asset Protection and EHS strategies aligned with enterprise and field operations priorities
- Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of AP/EHS leaders, fostering accountability, performance, and leadership growth
- Oversee shrink reduction, inventory integrity, fraud prevention, cash handling, investigations, and asset protection programs
- Manage environmental health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory standards
- Analyze risk, incident, and safety data to identify trends, root causes, and corrective/preventive actions
- Partner with operations, logistics, legal, and risk teams to mitigate enterprise risk and improve operational safety outcomes
- Lead incident response and crisis management efforts, ensuring timely resolution and structured follow-up
- Conduct audits and compliance reviews of AP and EHS programs, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety culture, reduce claims, and improve operational resilience
- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on risk mitigation, compliance strategy, and field execution
Requirements
This role requires extensive leadership experience in asset protection, safety, and risk management within complex multi-site retail, logistics, or supply chain environments. The ideal candidate combines strong operational expertise with strategic leadership and the ability to manage high-stakes situations.
- 10+ years of experience in Asset Protection, EHS, risk management, investigations, or multi-unit operations environments
- Proven experience leading and developing large, geographically distributed teams
- Strong expertise in shrink management, fraud prevention, investigations, and safety compliance programs
- Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks including OSHA, EPA, DOT, and related safety standards
- Experience in retail, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations and make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level engagement
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities
- Proficiency in data reporting tools and Microsoft Office suite
