Position Overview: The Regional Sales Manager, Canada West (ON, MB, SK, AB, & BC) will be responsible for leading and managing sales activities within the region. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring alignment with corporate strategic objectives. In terms of percentage of time, this role will spend 40% managing existing business, 50% on new business and 10% providing needed reports.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales – Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate sales activities to meet and exceed sales and margin targets.
- Establish and execute an annual sales plan for each channel, aligning with ODL’s corporate strategic plan.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive growth through new customer acquisition and existing account expansion.
- Lead, train, and coach a high-performing sales team, ensuring consistent execution of best-in-class sales strategies.
- Conduct ongoing performance assessments, development plans, and training programs for sales representatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and uphold performance objectives for sales professionals and independent sales agencies.
- Strengthen relationships with key customers and channel partners.
- Provide solutions-oriented sales leadership, working closely with accounts to maximize revenue potential.
- Work with senior management to develop growth strategies, sales forecasts, and operational plans.
- Oversee sales programs such as training, rebate programs, cooperative advertising, and product launch support.
- Provide regular reporting on market trends, sales pipeline, and key performance indicators to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 4+ years in sales management.
- Proven track record of revenue growth and sales leadership.
- Deep knowledge of sales channels
- Strong negotiation, business development, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Highly proficient in CRM systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
