DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Manager of Instrument Sales at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will guide and foster commercial excellence in our analytical instruments business. You'll develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase revenue and market share while building and supporting teams across direct and channel sales. This role combines strategic leadership with sales management, requiring you to build strong relationships with customers, distributors, and cross-functional partners. You'll support business growth through data-driven decision making, continuous process improvement, and dedicated focus on customer satisfaction. Working for a leader in serving science, you'll enable our customers to make breakthrough discoveries and innovations that make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree or above
• Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related scientific field
• Professional certifications in relevant scientific or commercial fields valued
• Strong technical knowledge of analytical instrumentation, particularly in chromatography and mass spectrometry
• Leadership abilities with experience developing and supporting sales talent
• Strategic planning and implementation skills with focus on data-driven decision making
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal
• Advanced negotiation and relationship-building capabilities
• Proficiency with CRM systems (particularly Salesforce) and MS Office suite
• Business acumen and P&L management experience
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization
• Experience managing distributor networks and channel partnerships
• Fluent in English; additional languages valued for international roles
• Ability to travel 50-70% including overnight stays
