Senior Sales Development Representative

This role is a high-impact, hunter-style sales position focused on driving new business within the fast-growing smart home technology market. You will be responsible for owning a defined territory and building pipeline from the ground up through proactive outreach, relationship building, and consultative selling. The role blends strategic prospecting with hands-on client engagement, including in-home or on-site consultations to understand customer needs and design tailored solutions. Success in this position requires strong commercial instincts, discipline in managing a full sales cycle, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders such as builders, designers, and homeowners. Accountabilities:
- Own and develop a territory by proactively prospecting builders, designers, architects, and homeowners to generate new business opportunities
- Conduct in-home or on-site consultations to assess client needs and propose tailored smart home solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing, ensuring disciplined use of CRM tools for tracking and optimization
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals in collaboration with technical design teams
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with trade partners and key stakeholders through ongoing engagement and networking
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and revenue goals
- Analyze pipeline performance and adjust outreach strategies to improve conversion and efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate solution design, pricing, and customer experience alignment
- Proven experience in sales development, business development, or hunter-style sales roles with a track record of building pipeline from scratch
- Strong ability to conduct consultative, in-person or on-site client meetings and translate needs into tailored solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at multiple levels
- Highly disciplined approach to CRM usage and pipeline management as a core part of daily workflow
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing a complex territory and schedule independently
- Ability to quickly learn and communicate technical products, ideally within smart home, A/V, automation, or related industries
- Demonstrated history of exceeding sales quotas in a performance-driven environment
- Experience working with builders, architects, or designers is a strong plus
