About the role
We are looking for a results-driven Assistant Sales Manager to support the growth of Lalamove for Business by driving new account acquisition and developing a strong sales pipeline. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with experience in fast-paced environments such as e-commerce, SaaS, marketplace, or technology-driven businesses.
What you'll do:
Pipeline Generation & Business Acquisition
- Drive new business acquisition by building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
- Identify, prospect, and engage potential clients through outbound and inbound lead generation activities.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand market reach and generate qualified sales opportunities.
- Consistently achieve pipeline, revenue, and account acquisition targets.
Corporate Communications & Partnerships Management
Directly manage and guide the BD Associate in producing sales enablement materials.
Ensure BD initiatives directly support sales pipeline creation and conversion.
Strengthen the acquisition funnel—from lead generation to activation and expansion.
Team Management & Coaching
Manage BD associate and Acquisition lead to grow their corresponding new corporate client segments in both volume and quality of accounts.
Support team members in closing strategic deals or negotiating complex requirements.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Drive strategic optimization of acquisition and BD associate KPIs that would best maximize revenue Ensure CRM hygiene and data accuracy of reports/numbers.
Run weekly reviews to assess gaps and deploy corrective actions.
What you'll need:
At least 4-6 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Acquisition, or Commercial roles.
Experience working in e-commerce, SaaS, marketplace, technology, or other high-growth industries is highly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing sales and account management teams, with demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing individuals to achieve both individual and team objectives.
Strong data analytics and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, pipeline metrics, and performance trends to drive informed decision-making, optimize sales strategies, and improve overall team productivity.
Excellent industry knowledge, supported by a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets, managing key accounts, and executing effective sales plans in a competitive environment.
Willingness to work onsite on a daily basis and travel for business as required, including client meetings, partner engagements, and company events, to support business growth and strengthen customer relationships.
