Wir suchen ab sofort am Standort Berlin eine:n Werkstudent:in (m/w/d) zur Unterstützung unseres Grid Automation Teams bei GE Vernova mit Fokus auf das Thema Cybersecurity.
In dieser Rolle unterstützt du unser Team bei cyberrelevanten Themen im Umfeld von kritischer Energieinfrastruktur, Substation Automation und digitalen Lösungen für die elektrische Energiewende. Dabei arbeitest du an der Schnittstelle von Technologie, Sicherheit und operativer Umsetzung.
Die Vertragsdauer kann individuell vereinbart werden, sollte jedoch maximal 20 Stunden pro Woche über einen Zeitraum von 6 bis 12 Monaten betragen.

We are currently looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) to support our Grid Automation Team at GE Vernova in Berlin, with a focus on cybersecurity.
In this role, you will support our team in cybersecurity-related topics within the fields of critical energy infrastructure, substation automation, and digital solutions for the electrical energy transition. You will work at the intersection of technology, security, and operational implementation.
The contract duration can be arranged individually; however, it should involve a maximum of 20 hours per week over a period of 6 to 12 months.

Deine Tätigkeiten

• Unterstützung des Grid Automation Teams bei Themen rund um Cybersecurity in energiebezogenen Automatisierungs- und Netzleitsystemen
• Mitarbeit bei der Analyse, Strukturierung und Dokumentation von Cybersecurity-Anforderungen für Produkte, Systeme und Kundenprojekte
• Unterstützung bei der Erstellung und Pflege von technischen und vertriebsnahen Unterlagen zu Cybersecurity-relevanten Themen
• Mitwirkung bei der Aufbereitung von Informationen zu Standards, Richtlinien und regulatorischen Anforderungen im Bereich kritischer Infrastrukturen
• Unterstützung bei internen Recherchen zu aktuellen Cybersecurity-Trends, Bedrohungen und Schutzmaßnahmen im Umfeld von Grid Automation
• Mitarbeit bei der Koordination und Nachverfolgung von cyberrelevanten Aktivitäten mit internen Stakeholdern aus Engineering, Sales, Tendering und Projektteams
• Unterstützung bei der Vorbereitung von Präsentationen, Berichten und Kundenunterlagen
• Pflege und Strukturierung von Informationen in relevanten Tools und internen Datenablagen
• Mitwirkung bei Sensibilisierungs- und Enablement-Aktivitäten zu Cybersecurity innerhalb des Teams

Dein Profil / Deine Qualifikationen

• Du absolvierst derzeit ein Studium, idealerweise in den Bereichen Cybersecurity, Informationstechnik, Elektrotechnik, Informatik, IT-Sicherheit, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen oder einer vergleichbaren Fachrichtung
• Du hast großes Interesse an Cybersecurity im industriellen Umfeld, idealerweise im Bereich Energieversorgung, kritische Infrastruktur oder Automatisierungstechnik
• Du arbeitest strukturiert, sorgfältig und eigenständig
• Du verfügst über analytisches Denkvermögen und kannst technische Themen verständlich aufbereiten
• Du hast sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse sowie gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Du bist in Berlin ansässig oder kannst das Team von dort aus unterstützen
• Du verfügst idealerweise über erste Kenntnisse zu Themen wie:
  • Netzwerk- und IT-Sicherheit
  • OT-Security
  • IEC 62443
  • kritische Infrastruktur / KRITIS
  • technische Dokumentation oder Datenanalyse
• Gute Kenntnisse in MS Office, insbesondere PowerPoint, Excel und Word, bringst du idealerweise mit
• Eine proaktive Arbeitsweise, Zuverlässigkeit und ein sicheres Auftreten runden dein Profil ab

Your Responsibilities

• Support the Grid Automation Team on cybersecurity-related topics in energy automation and grid control systems.
• Assist in the analysis, structuring, and documentation of cybersecurity requirements for products, systems, and customer projects.
• Support the creation and maintenance of technical and sales-related materials covering cybersecurity topics.
• Contribute to the preparation and organization of information regarding standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements for critical infrastructure.
• Assist with internal research on current cybersecurity trends, threats, and protection measures in the Grid Automation environment.
• Support the coordination and tracking of cybersecurity-related activities with internal stakeholders from Engineering, Sales, Tendering, and Project Management teams.
• Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and customer-facing documentation.
• Maintain and organize information in relevant tools and internal databases.
• Contribute to cybersecurity awareness and enablement activities within the team.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• You are currently enrolled in a degree program, preferably in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT Security, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• You have a strong interest in cybersecurity within industrial environments, ideally in the areas of energy supply, critical infrastructure, or automation technology.
• You work in a structured, meticulous, and independent manner.
• You possess strong analytical skills and can present technical topics in a clear and understandable way.
• You have excellent German language skills and good written and spoken English skills.
• You are based in Berlin or able to support the team from there.
• Ideally, you have initial knowledge of topics such as:
  • Network and IT Security
  • OT Security (Operational Technology Security)
  • IEC 62443
  • Critical Infrastructure (KRITIS)
  • Technical Documentation or Data Analysis
• Ideally, you have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• A proactive working style, reliability, and professional demeanor complete your profile.
