Microsoft Security Solutions Architect

This is a senior-level, client-facing presales role focused on designing and positioning enterprise Microsoft security solutions across complex hybrid and cloud environments. You will work directly with customers to translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable architectures leveraging the Microsoft security ecosystem. The role blends deep technical expertise with consultative sales capability, supporting organizations in strengthening their security posture across Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms. You will lead solution design discussions, shape proposals, and influence strategic security decisions for enterprise clients. This position operates in a highly collaborative environment, working across internal teams to ensure aligned, compelling, and technically sound client solutions. It is ideal for a security architect who thrives at the intersection of cybersecurity, cloud architecture, and presales strategy.
Accountabilities:
Lead the design and positioning of Microsoft security solutions in a presales capacity, supporting enterprise clients through complex security transformation initiatives.
- Design end-to-end Microsoft security architectures across Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid environments
- Develop budgetary estimates, statements of work, and solution proposals covering full project lifecycles (discovery, design, deployment, and support)
- Engage directly with clients to assess security requirements and define tailored solution strategies
- Deliver compelling presentations, workshops, and technical demonstrations to executive and technical stakeholders
- Collaborate across internal teams to align security offerings with broader solution portfolios
- Contribute to practice development through reusable assets, methodologies, and presales collateral
- Advise clients on Microsoft security capabilities including Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, and Intune
- Support cross-functional engagement to improve security posture and ensure successful adoption of Microsoft technologies
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft security stack including Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Purview, and Endpoint Manager
- Strong experience designing enterprise security solutions in cloud and hybrid environments (Azure and Microsoft 365)
- Proven background in presales, solution consulting, or client-facing architecture roles
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex security concepts for executives and stakeholders
- Certifications required or strongly preferred: Microsoft Security Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP and/or CISM
- Experience with security operations (SecOps), threat protection, compliance, and identity management
- Familiarity with competitive security tools such as CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Mimecast, Okta, or PingFederate
- Experience developing proposals, statements of work, and technical solution documentation
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills in fast-paced consulting environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
- Competitive annual compensation: USD $150,000 – $175,000 plus quarterly bonus (Canada rates vary)

Requirements:
8–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, solution architecture, or security engineering, with strong exposure to Microsoft security technologies and presales environments.
