Leidos is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Lead to support the Local Development Centre (LDC) in Singapore. This role provides technical leadership for cybersecurity engineering, secure architecture, risk management, security assurance, and cyber resilience while working closely with customer engineers in a co-development and capability-building environment.
The successful candidate will establish cybersecurity standards and engineering practices, support secure system development and operations, lead cybersecurity assurance activities, and contribute to long-term engineering capability development through mentoring, knowledge transfer, and hands-on collaboration.

Cybersecurity Lead Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity engineering activities across software, infrastructure, cloud, and operational environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to cybersecurity engineers within the LDC.
- Establish cybersecurity standards, policies, processes, and engineering best practices.
- Drive co-development activities with customer engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and technical oversight.
- Support secure architecture reviews, threat assessments, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity risk analysis activities.
- Collaborate with software, infrastructure, DevSecOps, systems integration, test, and reliability engineering teams to ensure cybersecurity requirements are incorporated throughout the system lifecycle.
- Support secure software development, cloud security, data protection, identity and access management, and security assurance activities.
- Support security testing, incident response, compliance activities, and continuous security improvement initiatives.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical planning, risk assessments, and delivery activities.
- Support knowledge-transfer activities, technical training, workshops, and on-the-job training programs.
- Ensure solutions meet cybersecurity, regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Champion security-by-design principles and foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, information security, security architecture, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading cybersecurity teams or security initiatives on complex technology programs.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, secure architecture, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and security assurance practices.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting knowledge transfer, workforce development, training, technical capability development.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in customer-facing and cross-functional environments.
Preferred Skills & Experience leading co-development teams involving customers, partners, or contractor personnel.
- Experience conducting threat assessments, security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and compliance activities.
- Experience with cloud security, application security, DevSecOps, security automation, and cyber resilience practices.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools to improve cybersecurity operations, threat analysis, and engineering productivity.
- Experience using Agile planning and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, Confluence, GitLab, or similar tools.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, Security+, or equivalent are desirable.
- Experience working in regulated, mission-critical, safety-critical, or highly available operational environments; experience with national cybersecurity standards preferred.
- Aviation, transportation, defense, government, or critical infrastructure domain experience is desirable.
- Proficiency in English and one or more regional languages is desirable.
- Candidates with existing authorization to work in Singapore.
