This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in protecting the integrity, trust, and safety of a large-scale digital marketplace. As a senior individual contributor, you will lead complex investigations, resolve high-impact escalations, and leverage data-driven insights to detect and prevent fraudulent activity. Working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and business teams, you will help shape enforcement strategies, improve platform safeguards, and influence policy development. The role combines analytical problem-solving, operational decision-making, and strategic impact in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining a secure and trustworthy user experience. Accountabilities:
- Own and resolve complex Trust & Safety escalations, making well-documented, data-driven enforcement decisions on sensitive and high-impact cases.
- Conduct in-depth fraud investigations to identify abuse patterns, including fake accounts, coordinated manipulation, fraudulent submissions, and other integrity risks.
- Utilize SQL and business intelligence tools to analyze large datasets, uncover trends, assess risk exposure, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor fraud detection rules and enforcement mechanisms, ensuring effective risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and monitoring frameworks to provide visibility into platform health, emerging threats, and integrity metrics.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to communicate findings, improve platform protections, and drive scalable solutions.
- Identify policy gaps and process improvement opportunities, proposing evidence-based updates to strengthen enforcement consistency and operational efficiency.
- Support cross-functional initiatives focused on workflow optimization, moderation standards, and trust and safety program enhancements.
- 3+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, fraud prevention, content moderation, risk operations, or a related field with exposure to scaled enforcement systems.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex escalations and investigations, delivering defensible and well-documented outcomes.
- Strong SQL proficiency with experience extracting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and risks.
- Demonstrated ability to transform analytical findings into operational actions, including rule creation, enforcement strategies, and process improvements.
- Understanding of automated moderation systems, AI-powered enforcement tools, machine learning models, and their practical applications in production environments.
- Experience assessing trade-offs, interpreting policy requirements, and making balanced decisions in complex situations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
