Job Title: VP, Global Sourcing

Reports to: SVP, Sourcing


Location: Hong Kong

 

The Role

As the Vice President, Global Sourcing, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Deckers’ global sourcing activities across Hong Kong, China, Macau, Vietnam, Indonesia, and other sourcing locations. You’ll define and execute sourcing and operations strategies, own regional operating plans and budgets, and partner closely with brand, product, and supply chain leadership to optimize end-to-end supply processes. Your work will enable brand growth, operational excellence, cost competitiveness, and supply chain resilience.

Your Impact

Define and lead sourcing strategies across all regional offices, aligning with Deckers’ global corporate and supply chain priorities.
Establish a clear mission and vision for the sourcing organization, translating them into measurable strategic priorities that mobilize teams and partners toward innovation, speed, and value creation.
Support the development, execution, and evolution of global sourcing, production, and supply chain strategies to meet business growth and performance objectives.
Lead development and production allocation strategies to optimize service levels and maintain balanced, sustainable supplier partnerships.
Serve as the senior sourcing representative across cross-functional forums, proactively resolving operational issues and stewarding strategic vendor relationships.
Monitor and assess organizational performance through KPIs and operational metrics, forecasting risks and leading resolution plans to ensure continuity and efficiency.
Serve as the strategic voice of Asia production, ensuring regional insights shape global decision-making and future planning.
Maintain strong awareness of global trade regulations, geopolitical dynamics, and sourcing opportunities to shape long-term capacity strategy and mitigate disruption.
Build a forward-looking risk and opportunity framework, championing agility and preparing teams to respond quickly to market shifts and supply chain volatility.
Lead the organization in identifying emerging sourcing, production, and consumer trends that unlock new opportunities for innovation, efficiency, cost competitiveness, sustainability, and product excellence.
Champion the Deckers Career Architecture (DCA) by ensuring clear roles, expectations, feedback, development plans, and visible career paths.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages cross-brand partnership, leverages consumer insights, and drives innovation and growth.
Develop, motivate, and retain high-potential talent; build a strong leadership bench and succession pipeline; and promote an inclusive, diverse workplace.

 

Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in engineering or footwear technology.
Minimum 15 years of experience in footwear manufacturing/sourcing operations, with at least 5 years’ top management experience.
Deep expertise in footwear development, engineering, materials, costing, and manufacturing.
Proven experience leading multi-brand, multi-region organizations within Asia.
Strong technical knowledge of footwear design, pattern making, last making, mold development, and end-to-end manufacturing processes.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and quantitative capabilities; able to influence senior leadership through data-driven insights.
Demonstrated executive leadership, organizational management, and stakeholder influence skills.
Excellent business communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Proficient in standard business and productivity applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
