DESCRIPTION
Join our IT team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to technological innovation that enables our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As a Systems Analyst II, you'll provide critical SAP support with a focus on MM (Materials Management), WM (Warehouse Management), and EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) modules. You'll work across ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain, optimize, and enhance our SAP systems.
Work closely with business partners to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that improve supply chain and warehouse operations. Lead configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP enhancements while ensuring compliance with corporate standards. Provide technical guidance to resolve complex SAP issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your work will directly impact our ability to serve customers and advance scientific discovery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of experience in SAP support, systems analysis, or similar technical role
- Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
- Strong experience with SAP MM, WM, and/or EWM modules
- Experience working with both SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments
- SAP certifications (e.g., SAP MM, SAP WM, SAP EWM) preferred
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, ServiceNow, Agile) preferred
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and document business requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of stakeholders
- Knowledge of IT service management practices and change management processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant technical tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., GxP, FDA, SOX) preferred
- Experience mentoring team members and providing technical guidance
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Flexibility to support operations outside standard business hours occasionally
- Foreign language skills may be beneficial
