About The Role:
The role is accountable for ensuring accurate inventory management, warehouse system integrity, stock reconciliation, and effective inventory controls within Mozambique Operations. The role contributes to warehouse efficiency, stock visibility, compliance, and operational accuracy by managing warehouse systems, inventory processes, and reporting activities. The position works closely with warehouse operations, supply chain, finance, procurement, customer service, and distribution teams to maintain high inventory accuracy and optimize warehouse performance.

The position works closely with warehouse operations, supply chain, finance, procurement, customer service, and distribution teams to maintain high inventory accuracy and optimize warehouse performance.
Inventory Management
- Ensure real-time and accurate visibility of all inventory across storage zones.
- Facilitate cycle counts, reconciliations, and root cause assessment for stock variances.
- Develop and maintain an inventory control matrix aligned to WMS, CRM, and ERP processes.
- Oversee aged stock reporting and recommend corrective measures for slow-moving and obsolete items.
- Coordinate with inbound/outbound teams to maintain FIFO and proper bin allocation.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations between physical inventory and system records.
Warehouse Systems Management
- Serve as system super-user for WMS, ERP, and CRM platforms.
- Manage label printing, bin transfers, order staging, and picking via handheld terminals.
- Liaise to enhance system workflows, reports, and dashboard functionalities.
- Train and assist staff on system usage, ensuring compliance with standard procedures.
- Review data accuracy and generate reports to inform evaluation and process improvement.
- Generate inventory and warehouse performance reports for management review.
Operational Optimization
- Facilitate process mapping, SOP documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review operational data (throughput, TAT, accuracy) and propose efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to streamline material flow and warehouse layout for optimal space utilization.
- Participate in risk assessments, audits, and compliance checks related to stock and system control.
- Contribute to inventory allocation and replenishment activities to ensure product availability.
- Coordinate with transport, distribution, and fulfilment teams to ensure accurate shipment documentation and stock movement tracking.
Reporting, Evaluation and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company inventory policies, audit requirements, and internal controls.
- Prepare regular inventory accuracy, variance, stock aging, and warehouse KPI reports.
- Review inventory trends and recommend improvements to reduce losses and improve efficiency.
- Track and report key inventory metrics including stock accuracy, stock adjustments, and order fulfilment performance.
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or warehouse management systems within FMCG or manufacturing environments.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems – system implementation or super-user level experience preferred.
- Proven record of reducing stock variances and improving warehouse data accuracy.
- Excellent numerical reasoning, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of ISO and OSHA compliance standards is preferred.
- Strong team coordination and relationship-building skills, with a hands-on approach and attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High levels of integrity and accountability.
- Strong communication skills (English and Portuguese) and stakeholder engagement experience.
