Strategic Sourcing Manager

This role sits at the center of enterprise procurement strategy, driving value creation across multiple indirect spend categories. You will lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives that directly impact cost efficiency, supplier performance, and operational resilience. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate business needs into structured sourcing strategies and measurable outcomes. The position requires a strong mix of analytical rigor, commercial insight, and negotiation expertise to optimize spend and reduce risk. You will operate in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with Legal, Finance, Security, and business teams. This is a high-impact role where procurement is treated as a strategic lever for organizational performance and transformation.

Accountabilities

Lead and execute strategic sourcing activities across multiple indirect categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and value delivery.

  • Manage end-to-end sourcing events including market analysis, RFP development, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract award recommendations.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Security, TPRM, and internal stakeholders to structure, negotiate, and execute commercial agreements.
  • Oversee supplier relationships, including performance management, compliance monitoring, and issue resolution as needed.
  • Drive cost optimization through proactive category management, early stakeholder engagement, and spend analysis.
  • Utilize procurement systems (such as NetSuite and Zip) to manage spend visibility, supplier data, renewals, and savings opportunities.
  • Maintain and actively manage contract renewal pipelines through structured stakeholder reviews and planning cycles.
  • Support procurement transformation initiatives and promote adoption of best practices and digital procurement tools.
  • Requirements

    Candidates should bring strong procurement expertise with proven success in managing complex sourcing and supplier negotiations across indirect categories.

    • Minimum of 5 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to generate measurable cost savings and deliver category value.
    • Strong background in indirect procurement category management and sourcing strategy development.
    • Experience managing complex negotiations involving pricing, contracts, risk, and service-level agreements.
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
    • Strong analytical capabilities, including spend analysis and procurement data interpretation.
    • Experience with procurement technologies (e.g., NetSuite, Zip) is highly valued.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred.
    • Professional certifications such as CPSM or PMP are a plus.
    • Experience in the education sector is an added advantage.
