This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager, Telecommunications based in the United States.
This role is responsible for leading and coordinating complex broadband and telecommunications infrastructure initiatives that support large-scale network performance and expansion. You will manage end-to-end project delivery across network buildouts, fiber enhancements, ring collapses, and capacity upgrades. The position requires close collaboration with engineering, field operations, and implementation teams to ensure seamless execution of technical projects. You will also act as a key communication bridge between technical teams and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment on timelines, risks, and deliverables. The role combines structured project management with a strong understanding of telecom infrastructure environments. It is well suited for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional settings where precision and communication are critical to success.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end telecommunications and broadband infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
- Coordinate network buildouts, fiber deployments, ring collapses, capacity upgrades, and related engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Engineering, ISP, Implementation, Field Operations, and Optical Network teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, status reports, risk logs, and executive presentations.
- Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and performance metrics to ensure projects stay on time and within scope.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, drive alignment, and ensure clear communication between technical and business stakeholders.
- Present updates, risks, and recommendations to leadership and executive-level audiences.
- Adapt quickly to evolving tools, processes, and organizational priorities within a dynamic telecom environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing telecommunications or broadband infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of network buildouts, fiber infrastructure, ring collapses, and related engineering processes.
- Experience working with cross-functional telecom teams such as ISP, Field Operations, Implementation, and Optical Network groups.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational, facilitation, and project leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and executive communication.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes in a fast-changing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
